whasians are awesome

CHARLOTTE IS HERE!!!!! I know my auntie bias might be showing a little bit, but that is one cute whasian baby. She was born at 4:02 yesterday and weighs 8 pounds exactly.
That's all thats really going on in my life, besides work, blegh. And on that note Summerwood is the official Crystal Aquatics Pool of the Week!! Actually its not official, but Jenny the super supervisor pretty much confirmed it. Basically, we're the best. And for being the best we get a gift certificate to go out to eat as a staff. Now there is incentive for you. (SARCASM)
In other news I watched half of Forest Gump today, which reminded me of the time last June, when I was on vacation in Florida with the Asian friend and we went to the Bubba Gump Shrimp Company Restaurant. Not only did I win the Forest Gump trivia game, do the forest gump dance and recieve a "stupid is as stupid does pin," but the waiter said I was adorable and gave me some extra purple mardi gra beads. Yes, this would have been totally creepy, except I knew I would never see him again. And they get paid to be creepy nice so its not actually creepy. Okay its creepy, but in the totally fun kinda way. Like strangers giving unposioned candy to children just to be nice or the homeless guys with weird signs.
Yup, good trip.
And this was also I good post. I figured out how to get pictures in! All by myself!!

Lotti Dotti We Likes to Party

Well now isn't this exciting. I officially have a blog. For this you have the short, snarky, indian friend to thank. She said it was super easy to get a blog. She was a) lying or b) drastically overestimating my computer-using abilities. I lean towards the second option because it took me a solid 10 minutes to figure out the "new post" button was how you post stuff. However, you can't trust short people.

Anyway a couple hours ago my big brother's wife's water broke! I'm going to be an aunt for the first time! It's a girl and her name will be Charlotte (I'm pretending its a tribute to Charlotte Bronte and to Victorian Lit in general). I was talking about her today with my supervisor Jenny , and she mentioned how few ways there were to shorten Charlotte. To this I suggested that she could go by Lottie. My supervisor then started singing the 80s hip hop party song Lotti Dotti by Doug E. Fresh and Slick Rick. I really like my supervisor. And bad 80s hip hop. Sorry Charlotte for pinning a nickname on you from a truly awesomely awful song. (I'd post the song but I don't know how to copy links into entries yet.)

Well now I'm going to go to sleep and hopefully wake up an auntie. Goodbye to my nonexistent as of yet followers.
